Have a Heart!

In February, Vitalia at Tradition’s Lifestyles Director Leslie Boehlert planned a Valentines contribution event called Have a Heart Initiative. With her team of volunteers, she invited Vitalia residents to donate gift items for Adult Day Care seniors at nearby Port St. Lucie’s Council on Aging. Resident response was generous and heart-warming. Members of several of Vitalia’s clubs hand-made gift items, including lap blankets, doily angels, socks, and adult bibs. The seniors who received the gifts were so happy that Leslie has decided Have a Heart will be an annual event.

A Night Under the Stars

Giselle Rodriguez and 10 Lifestyle staff created a Valentine’s red-carpet masquerade dance for community residents of Bellalago, Kissimmee. The ticketed event was sold out. The venue: the pool deck of the Isles of Bellalago amenity center. The entertainment: music and dancing hosted by DJ Billy Drysdale. The food: prime rib, bacon-wrapped chicken, sides, and shot-glass desserts. Clear-top tents, strings of light, elegant table settings, and candles floating in the pool transformed the space into a party place. 56 feedback cards turned in afterward held glowing praises: “Best event ever!”
